Egypt Occupational Outlook is live!
2025/04/17
We’re pleased to announce the launch of the Egypt Occupational Outlook (EOO), a joint effort between GIZ Egypt and the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation (MoPEDIC) on MoPEDIC’s website which will provide valuable information about over 400 occupations in Egypt.
The launch event was attended by the Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, the Minister of Labour Mr. Mohamed Gobran, the Head of The EU Delegation to Egypt Amb. Angelina Eichhorst, and the Head of the German Development Cooperation at the German Embassy in Cairo, Mr. Holger Illi. The event brought together a distinguished group of embassy representatives, directors of international development institutions and senior officials.
EOO is a reliable digital platform that offers, for the first time in Egypt, comprehensive labor market information. This includes details on rapidly expanding occupations, their regional distribution, average salaries, necessary educational credentials, as well as the essential market-driven skills, knowledge, and competencies, all tailored to the shift towards a green economy.
Drawing from data sourced from the Labour Force Survey and Employment, Wages, and Hours of Work Survey conducted by CAPMAS Egypt, EOO guarantees precise and trustworthy insights that mirror the dynamic shifts within the labor market. 🔍✅
