
SilverKey Leads Revamp of Damietta's Official Website

In line with the directives of the Governor of Damietta, the Deputy Governor holds a meeting to follow up on the design of the new official website for the governorate.
In implementation of the directives of Dr. Ayman El-Shehabi, Governor of Damietta, Engineer Shaimaa El-Seddik, Deputy Governor, held a meeting with SilverKey Technologies, in the presence of Dr. Amr Hanafy, IT Advisor to the Governor and Supervisor of the Spatial Information Systems Department; Mr. Yasser El-Refaai, Director General of the IT and Digital Transformation Department; Mr. Taher El-Shafei, CEO of SilverKey; Eng. Esraa Mostafa, UI/UX Designer; Eng. Menna Nawar, Project Manager; and Eng. Youssef Farouk, Developer.
The meeting focused on reviewing the design of the new official website for the governorate, which aims to unify access to government services and enhance digital transparency.
During the meeting, the Deputy Governor listened to a detailed presentation from the SilverKey team on the website vision. She emphasized that the website must include:
- All public services provided by the governorate’s directorates (health, education, irrigation, etc.)
- A dedicated section for citizens to submit complaints and suggestions, with electronic tracking
- An interactive platform for public announcements
- Instant updates on water and electricity outages and mobile service caravans
She also stressed the importance of:
- An investment section that displays available investment opportunities, current and upcoming projects
- A tourism section to provide details about hotels and tourist attractions, with direct booking options for both local and international visitors
- Sections covering development projects, local administrative units, and updates on the “حياة كريمة” initiative
Engineer Shaimaa El-Seddik highlighted the importance of creating a modern, professional digital interface that reflects the identity of the governorate, expressing her hope to launch the platform soon after incorporating all technical feedback.
In this context, Dr. Amr Hanafy stated that the new website represents a key milestone in Damietta’s digital transformation plan. “We are working to build a comprehensive digital platform that simplifies life for citizens and reflects the governorate’s efforts to localize technology. It will prioritize data accuracy and user-friendly access and serve as a gateway to showcase Damietta’s investment and tourism potential globally,” he added.
